Open Question: un-cashed paycheck, am I out this money?So I found a check that I thought I had lost from September 19th of this year. It is a $75.00 check so I would like to cash it as soon as possible. There is also no date in which it had to be cashed by on the check. The problem is however, that the bar it was issued from is trying to sell. All of the locations are on the market, but the one I worked at was a summer establishment so it closed the end of September. Does this mean that I am going to be screwed out of the money that I am rightfully owed? If the account in which it was payed from is closed, is there a way I can go after anyone for this money? I know its not a lot, but its more of a principal thing considering the owner was a dirtbag. Thanks in advance. Open Question: Why does your ex still pest you after you've said good bye?It was long ago, the year 2004, when i decided to change my environment. We dated for almost 3years, before and during my stay in Europe. What really changed his attitude towards me, i can really fished out, well during the courtship, he proposed to me, and i give no positive comment, i only said let see what the futur will bring cos i was still schooling at home by then. The problem was that one year after i left my country, he started disturbing me on the issue of marriage, for which i said i was not ready, cos i was about 24 years by then and i wanted to earn my living before getting married also it was not long by then that i lost my parent, so i ask him to give me more time of which he does not agreed. I then told him to get someone else, if that is the case, cos no one can force me into marriage, well he still continue to insist, but i know longer reply him anymore, then he now stop calling and chatting with me for some months, i then tried to call him myself, but he no longer use to be the person i know, cos he has changed, i tried my possible best to bring things back to the normal state, but it seems to no avail. So i then stop stressing myself over that issue. Then, in 2008, he now started calling me back, which i then thought it was late, he tried all his possible best to convince me, but i said no. I then got to know later, that he has impregnated a girl older than him. but i did ask him when he called, but he denied, why? i dont know. So when i travelled home to visit my family for christmas, i say him driving with a woman on his side carrying a baby, but he did not see me not till a week after we met at the market, he was chocked, when he saw me, after that he then came to visit me at home with his friend and family, begging for me to forgive him, what to forgive? i dont know, cos am already with someone else. Now tell me why he still disturb me till today, he is already a father, but he said he deos not want the other lady, what is my own business about that? What deos he really want from me? Pls advice me on this issue. Open Question: money Im owed through lending?i lent a friend of mine £2000 but before doing so i got a contract drawn up witch cost me £100. if my friend cant pay the debt by the time the contract runs out [may]i will have to take him to court..i do not want to take him to court which is a problem. he has written to me telling me he will pay all the money back.. MY QUESTION IS if the contract runs out and the debt is not paid can i take him to court at a later date on the strength of his letter and an expired contract. please help me i am at my wits end as to what to do and my husband knows nothing of this... my friend has paid me £400 and there is no way they will be able to repay the full amount before the contract runs out.. Open Question: Have you ever came across a video game with this problem?Have you ever played a video game where you keep getting stuck around the same area every single time. Especially those RPG games where you have to overcome a certain obstacle that's keeping you from completing the game. I have this game that I have restarted more times than is necessary and keep getting stuff at the same area. I mean I figured out how to get through it but every time I get close to my destination something happens that forces me to start over again. Have any of you come across a problem like this in any of the games you have played through to date? Open Question: What rights do I have as a single unwed mother? Do I have to include the dad in any part of the child's life?The father is a soldier that has demanded full custody with no visitation rights for me. Who is currently in the middle of deployment. He doesn't make near enough or have enough time to take care of a child but thinks that I don't have the time and that's his only case against me. I have a couple jobs any one of them can fully support me and my child without the other. I just like to be busy especially when I was dating someone over seas. I understand with a baby that that takes first priority. We were engaged to get married and were trying for kids before he left but never got our wedding license. Since then he has left me, which I am perfectly happy with. He has been verbally abusive over the last couple months since he lost his best friend. I'm mostly just worried about my son being around him. He has a background of drug and alcohol abuse and used to tell me that he was going to spend his first month home drunk. He has also had problems with anger management, the army has had him take classes to try and control it but its kind of gone out the window since being in Afghanistan. Even before then if he got to mad he would hit me. I don't want my son around that and I'm worried about being around it myself. Does the father have to sign the birth certificate? Do I have to include him in any part of the child's life? The baby is not born yet and I'd like to get this all settled before then. Open Question: How to automatically lock files after a certian period or time?does anyone know if this exists? i was thinking it would be very nice to automatically be able lock a file by a specific date the same way appliations have a trial period. this way if you submit photos to a publication for say a week they can be viewed for a certain time period and after that if they want to use them they have to get in tocuh with you directly so that you know you have a further request. for example the good people at the un have ended up distributing some of my photos into many data bases and to track those photos down and account for them is almost impossible because the machinery is so massive there, a date lock would solve that problem, or better yet a lock combined with a kind of popup saying that the file is locked and if someone wants to use the photo then they contact you. Open Question: Strongly dislike my wife's parents?! Please help!?I try to be loving and accepting to everyone, but I have never liked my wife's parents from day one dating back to when we were dating. The dad is hard-core alcoholic and the mom is a drama-queen. They are nice people but their lifestyle is very evident when dealing with them. I have never made it known to my wife how I feel of her parents, because I felt out of place and even rude. We will be having a baby soon, and I dont want my baby around her dad because his drinking problem makes him violent to the point where he beats his wife. I wouldn't mind having the baby around him, if he didnt drink. Am I out of place? Open Question: Guys, I want your opinion. Would you date a cute girl if her father was a black belt?My best friend has problems hooking guys and I don't get why. She's little, cute, a little shy, but can be really sociable if you catch her on a good day. The only reason I can think of is that both her parents are black belts, her dad's the karate instructor, and she's a brown belt working her way up to black. Guys, would you let that stop you?
