Open Question: Do you know any artists that would like 50,000 dollars and a home for as little as 100 bucks?http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/opinion/08barlow.html This article talks about artists that are moving into Detroit neighborhoods and are buying their homes for as little as 100 dollars. Well Michigan is now giving a 50 thousand dollar grant to all artists who buy a home in Detroit. You have to be willing to relocate to the Detroit area. Many artists are already on the move. They have built beautiful studios and galleries. This is not limited to only painters or sculptors; writers, musicians, or anyone with an artistic vision will be given the grant. I think is a marvelous opportunity for artistic muslims to share their talents. People here share poems, stories, and I'm sure there are many here who enjoy art. I believe that this will be a great opportunity for people who have always needed a reason to get up and be proactive. I would love to see one of these homes fulled with Islamic mosaics, poetry reflecting a proud and educated group of muslim individuals, stories of our struggles, pictures and paintings depicting the beauty of hijab or the modern ummah. News stories are being done on these artists on a monthly or even weekly basis. They are being given grants left and right, sponsors are coming out in droves for publicity. I just thought I'd put it out there since I'm in the area and have been hearing all the hype. Open Question: how can i get my cdl back?I lost my cdl cin feb09' because I was dumb enough to go threw swift. they got busted for third party testing. I drove for four years before my cdl was cancelled. at the time i only had to redo my road test. I was working for national freight. sechudled my test for the end of feb. but the beging of feb out side of detroit my 660 volvo's air suspention bag popped and had to ride all the way back to boilingbrook IL. Talking about riding a crazy bull four 4hrs. I keep telling them b4 that that she neededto becheked they kept puttin it off and then that happened. injuried my back,left rotating cuff,and brused my neck. after that I left. Told my state of IL of my current situation. They cancelled my cdl and told me I now hadto retake everything. The whole thing is I do't have a truck of my own and the guythat use to rent trucks out for test purposeswent out of business now I don't know what to do.
