Open Question: How can I come to terms with the possibility of being single and a loner...?I have so many issues when it comes to dating that I just don't have the energy to sort out anymore. I might end up choosing to be alone, although I have a strong drive for a relationship. I just don't think that I have the resources to try to fix the problems and might choose to come to terms with singledom rather than try to fight it. That's why I said "possibility" ... I think if I'm more comfortable with my future going any which way, I will be ... well, more comfortable Open Question: My parents hate my boyfriends family?Okay so i met this guy on myspace on october 14...& we started dating on october 16! & we been dating for almost 3 months now! & I'm muslim & so is he. and in our religion the boyfriends parents have to come to the gurls house and ask for the girl to marry the son! & if the mom & dad both say "YES" then we get engaged & then couple of months later we get married....but this is my problem what's going on. my parents hate my boyfriends family. my dad & my boyfriends dad grew up together & my dad hates him idk why!! and my boyfriend told me if your dad doesn't let you marry me will you let me run you away? i said Yess! & i'm only 17 im going to turn 18 March 5th! so if i runaway & if my parents call the cops what's gonna happen? my mom and dad said if i runaway they will never talk to me or visit me. & i'm okay with that. i'll still love them & whateverr! so what do you think can happen if i runaway with my boyfriend to his house? Best answer will be chosen...=] Open Question: Flip mino HD stuck at setup splash screen?After charging my Flip Mino HD (PSV-465), I pressed the power on button. It shows me the splash screen and tells me to hold the red button for setup. Nothing happens when I do this. I can only do a reset with a paperclip to turn the camera off. When I then plug it in (while turned off), it lights up quickly and then shows me a battery stage for a bit (at this stage all the buttons are responsive to touch (eg. they light up)). When I power on then, the same thing happens, it stalls at the setup screen. Starting up while holding the > button does not pop up the camera's data. I then have reformatted the memory of the camcorder. I did it for the first time on a Mac, after unplugging it and starting it up, I could actually finish the setup sequence (time, date, sound). After re-installing the software, the problem was back. Then I tried re-formatting again, but could not get past the 'hold O for setup' screen (being able to finish the setup was a one time thing). Then I tried it on a PC running Windows. Also nothing happened. It told me to turn the camcorder on and reconnect to the PC. When I turn it on, it is stuck in the formentioned screen, and not recognized by the PC. What did strike me as odd is that there now is a file on the camcorder. README.TXT The FlipShare software seems to be corrupted or missing from your camcorder. To reinstall the program, contact Flip Video Support: In the US: www.theflip.com/support In the UK: www.flipvideo.co.uk/support It appeared both on the Mac as on the Windows install. But after a umpteenth re-install it is gone now. But still the camcorder does not work. Crappy part is that I live in The Netherlands, and Flip has no support here (even though it sells here through multiple large online retailers). To me it feels like a firmware issue, and not software. But I have no idea how to flash the firmware. More Recent Articles
