Open Question: In what aspect do you see this problem and what are the suggestions you putforth for this at Bangalore?

Recently the City Police of Bangalore have conducted an "unofficial" survey to which Police Station, officers most sought after to work with. In this the Ashok Nagar Police Station, which has in its limits the Bangalore City's Central ares like Residency Road and Brigade Road is most sought after, for the following reasons: These Residency Road & Brigade Road areas have more live band Bars&Restraurents, where scantily clad girls, ostensibly working as bar tenders, entertain customers and even exchange their mobile numbers with them, even though a BAN by the Police on live band exists. These areas have more number of pubs(both licensed and unlicensed), hotels, gambling dens and other "ENTERTAINMENT JOINTS". There are more than 13 Police officers are lobbying to get a transfer to Ashok Nagar Police Station as Inspector, even ready to pay Rs.1 crore for such a posting. How you view this ? What are the means you suggest to erase the "live band culture" in Bangalore? Source : Bangalore Mirror Daily dated 04 Dec 09.

Open Question: What are your answers and suggestions to prevent this problem posed by schools in Tamil Nadu?

Recently (on 03 Dec 09) nine children and one teacher killed while travelling in their school bus due to the negligence of the driver, who, while driving conversing through his mobile. The van which had a capacity of 12 passangers, was carrying more than 20 people. Moreover, the driver was not in a possession of a valid driving licence. AND the van was a more than 15 old vehicle. In Chennai city itself, you must have noted that during morning hours, not only school vans, but also share autos, autorikshaws, cycle rickshaws carrying children more than their authorised capacity, which is a common site. Now, immediately after this accident, the state govt, as usual announced cancellation of licence to the school and giving some instructions/orders and prefer to close the matter. My question is why these outdated buses/vans more than 15 years old are used by these schools? How they get permission from the RTO for such "vintage" vehicles? Have the schools, who charge "Bus Fees" on "ransom" from the parents, owe no responsibility towards the safety of the children? Is the Govt thinking that once the licence of that particular is cancelled, the problem is "FINISHED" ALL OVER TAMIL NADU? May I know your views as well as suggestions on this important issue?
