Open Question: Information Please! Mother-in-law needs back surgery and they keep canceling!? and more... Open Question: Information Please! Mother-in-law needs back surgery and they keep canceling!?My mother-in-law lives in Michigan and has been getting scheduled for her major back surgery and then it getting canceled on her for about 8 months now. Who can I get in contact with to raise some hell? She had to quit her job as an RN for detroit receiving because she could not walk and now she is facing losing her house because she can't get the surgery done and get her 6 month recovery time to go and look for work. Something is not right here and I have even thought about calling the problem solvers (news station) out there to get something going for her, but my problem stands here.... This is the only surgeon she could get to do her surgery because it is very risky so I don't want to upset him and him not do it. This is not fair to her though. She was walking out the house today for the hospital and that is when they called and canceled. Last time was the day before her surgery when it got canceled. The times before that was within the week of her surgery when it would get canceled. My question is "What can be done or what can I do?" It is getting canceled by the doctors themselves. She is MORE than ready for the surgery!! There reasoning for today is because they have another surgery at 1:00 and they couldn't finish hers in time for the other. Open Question: Need information!!
