Details inside...?Last year, my husband and I moved back into my parents home. My husband was seeking a commission with the Air Force and was scheduled to leave for OTS in late January of 09'. Long story short, his recruiter forgot to file and age waiver, by the time this information was made available to us the military had stopped granting waivers for the most part and we were stuck. The reason we moved back in with my parents was my father did not like we were residents of Detroit (where we both graduated from and our places of employment were located). He didn't want me living alone there. At the time, moving back to save money while my husband was in OTS made some sense. Anyhow, my husband then sought a commission through the Navy, was granted one and is currently in OCS training. Tonight my dad asked if he could claim us on his taxes (since he is in a higher tax bracket), I of course said yes. Basically- what does this mean? Do we file ourselves or does my father? Also, will we still receive a tax return, or does it go to my father? Thank you for the information. Open Question: Fantasy Football Advice?Who looks worse on offense? Detroit Lions, or Cleveland Browns? I have a decision to make in fantasy football this week. I have got the Charger's defense and the Bengal's defense I can play. Both are going up against teams that they can rack up points against. Bengals are facing Detroit in Cincy, and Chargers are facing the Browns in Cleveland. All answers are appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! More Recent Articles |
