Open Question: Phoenix bios wont boot properly?I have been having problems with my bios lately, when I turn my computer on, the screen pops up with the logo of Gateway and as it loads the text for the function options like "press f2 for system setup" it just stops at that and doesn't load anything and then just restarts. The only way to load my operating system is to press f10 and that doesent always work, then when my operating system starts my alphanumeric keys don't work, my Ctrl key doesent work, all the function keys don't work, or the esc key, also after pressing f10, thats when all the function keys stop working so I cant access the setup or the boot options, someone suggested that i flash the bios, but I dont know how to do that, now I used BiosAgentPlus to determin my bios version this is what I got. Information About Your Current BIOS BIOS Type: Phoenix BIOS Date: 20070416 BIOS Vendor: Phoenix Technologies LTD BIOS Version: 72.15 BIOS Size: 1048576 Chipset: Intel 27A0 rev 3 Motherboard Name: Gateway Motherboard Model: MX8739 System Name: Gateway System Model: Rev.1 Base Manufacturer: Gateway So I went to Gateway.com and they were no help, I went to Phoeinx.com and only got the link to biosagentplus.com which charge for the updates 29.95 which I dont have.
