Fantasy football.?I have aaron rodgers and joe flacco. Flacco is versing the detroit lions this week, the worst pass defense in football. Flacco should have 300- plus yards and around 2 touchdowns i think. However last game was a bad game for Flacco. On the other hand Aaron Rodgers is playing the bears, last time out he only had 184 yards aganist the bears, but his last couple of games have been great. So which one should i start? LoL i got three defenses right now, the giants the ravens and the broncos. So i'm good with the defense. However the lions havn't stopped anybody all year, including brady quinn who put up three touchdowns aganist the lions. I think Flacco will have a good game, but right now i'm am leaning more towards Rodgers because of how great he has been for me this year. Open Question: Was my experience at the "Government Motors" car dealership yesterday the new norm in auto sales?I went to a local Chevrolet dealership yesterday on the recommendation of a friend to look at purchasing a vehicle because we find ourselves in a situation where have to have one. I had $2,000 in cash, a trade-in that if it was in poor condition is worth $1,000, and a perfect credit score. I was offered an Equinox with a $2,400 warranty added on top of the cost of the vehicle, a 5.5 percent interest rate, and $500 for my trade-in. General Motors doesn't offer any incentives on this vehicle, and neither does that dealer, but they told me I could purchase a Malibu if I wanted incentives. I don't want a Malibu. So I walked out the door. The salesman and his finance manager could not understand why I was leaving. I said, "You don't have anything to offer me." The salesman said, "We're giving you a really good deal, and we aren't offering you anything more because we don't have to." I thanked them for their time and left. I drove immediately to the Ford dealership up the road and got exactly what I wanted, including $1,000 for my trade-in. The dealer threw in a lifetime of free oil changes, and I got to keep my $2,000 in cash too. (Merry Christmas to me.) Is this the future of buying General Motors cars now that the government owns the majority of the company? (I live in Detroit, by the way, and I am genetically and psychologically programmed to purchase American cars only.) I forgot something: The Chevrolet dealer told me that I wouldn't be able to take delivery of my vehicle until February. That they thought this was an offer I couldn't refuse amazes me. Interesting comments. The Obama administration shut down dealers who contributed to John McCain's campaign fund, even if they were more profitable than dealers who contributed to Obama's campaign. This is indeed very political, and the information is out there if you choose to look for it. Or you could just choose to insult an anonymous YA poster. Whichever is easier for you. Have a nice day, all of you. Open Question: What was the theme song to WJR's "Patterns in Music"?In Michigan, in the 80's and well before, there was a program on WJR Detroit radio called"Patterns in Music" hosted by Ted Strasser. My dad had it playing in the house every week and I always enjoyed the theme song. Unfortunately, I hardly remember how it goes now and I do not know what it is called. My Dad's best guess was "Little" something. Anybody out there know? Thanks for any help. More Recent Articles
