Open Question: Problems with job applications following extend absence from workforce?I'm 30, have been out of work six years (12/03 was my last job), and can explain the extended absence, as I've been on disability, and attending school. But some of my employers, I can't recall the phone numbers (it was private work through a company, the job gets listed as the private person, I worked as a home care aid), and in one case, a gas station (less than a month employment) has changed owner's full staff turnover, and I don't recall the phone number that it had had. In other cases, my mind's a little sketchy on dates. I have a general idea, but may be off by a couple or few months How do I deal with issues like this? I am especially interested in hearing from HR staff or hiring officers. Do I just fill it out as completely as possible, with the information as close as I recall, or what should I do? I have no resume, and no jobs I'm presently applying for need one. I really want to try working a few hours a week, but the application process is throwing me a bit. I do have a job history. I'd worked for nearly 10 years before the disability. My problem is lack of recall on some jobs I've worked. More Recent Articles
