Open Question: What kind of job can you have if you can't sit or stand long periods? (My friend has a medical problem)?

My best friend has had the worst of luck and times these past couple of years. He's living in Windsor, ON. The city is right beside Detroit, MI and the areas economic future has been hit pretty hard to say the least. He use to work in IT, but with all the companies looking to slash money from their budgets, it's nearly impossible for him to find work in that field now. He then made the transition of trying something completely different. he became a truck driver. This was going well. There was plenty of work, and he enjoyed it. But the last year or so, he's had to quit because he has some rare disease in his spinal cord that prevents him from sitting down for long periods of a time. As of now, he can't sit or stand for long periods as it causes him too much pain. He lays down most of the time because it's most comfortable for him. The doctors say he'll qualify for disability and he is in the process to collect it, but he really doesn't want to rely on that. He'd rather get off his duff and and make his own buck! So what kind of job can someone in his condition and do? He's intelligent, learns quickly, could work from his home. If it means going back to school, he'd give this strong consideration also. He can still walk and around and do everyday things for the most part, but he can not endure it for very long.... 30 minutes tops? I mentioned to him he may want to consider running a business from home buying and selling products online (kinda like eBay)... but he doesn't seem overly excited about this. I really appreciate the suggestions, and please.... keep it real!

Open Question: What do you think is wrong with my eyes?

This maybe long, but I COMPLETELY APPRECIATE ALL HELP AND INSIGHT!!!! That goes without saying, that Im very grateful for anyone that can take the time out of their busy schedules and help. Im 22 years old, male. This started when I was 18, appeared almost over night and here we are. When I was 18, I had these spots in my eyes if you will where I cant see out of. Now, with both eyes open, I can see everything fine, they make up for one another. However, with my left eye closed, my right eye has spots in them directly where Im looking. So with my left eye closed, if I were looking at your mouth, I couldnt see it, but the rest of your face I could, just not what Im concentrating on directly. With the right eye closed and the left eye open, I can see what Im looking at directly (i.e. your mouth lets say) but everything in my lower vision I cant. The spots are more dark if Im inside, but outside they seem to conform to whatever it is Im looking at, blue skies, etc. There is a lot of pressure built up in the eyes and my optic nerve is thinning. Over the years it has gotten worse and Im afraid it may eventually cross over into the vision of both eyes if you will, making it so if those spots are in the same spots in ecah eye they couldnt make up for each other. Ive been to 8 eye doctors, all in the places Ive lived in the last four years, being Detroit (Michigan), Nashville (Tennessee), and Charlotte (North Carolina). 3 of those have been specialists, the other 5 were normal ones youd see for basic problems and regular check ups. 4 of the normal eye doctors believe very strongly that I have glacoma. The other normal one just doesnt know. The 3 specialists I saw believe them to be floaters, which the other doctors have said flat out that that cant be, these are not the same. It seems that no doctor wants to say it is glacoma because of my age. I know its very abnormal to see in a younger person, but not nessacarily unheard of. Im going to see another doctor tommorow, but its just getting too expensive for me. If its glacoma, Im ok with that, lets just get the treatments underway you know. So, theres the whole background including sypmtons and when it started, etc. Once again, thank you so much for your help!
