Open Question: Why is diversity awareness seen as racism?

Every anti-racism activist wants people to ignore the fact that we are all fundamentally different. And it's not just our skin color. We have different economic upbringings, different culture, and different countries or origin. Seeing someone as different because of their skin color is just because that's the most easily seen sign that they're different. Why is it not "politically correct" to say someone is black or arab? They really are. It is the truth that they are not the same as others. (jews don't count, it's a religion and a race but it's so confusing you can't figure out which is what). I'm just saying, don't patronize people and ignore the fact that we are all different. We have our own culture and beliefs. Being aware of that difference is not racism. Racism is defined as discriminating against a certain race. Treating people differently because of their skin color is only polite and natural. You can't say that a white kid from the Detroit slums is the same as a black kid from a rich Boston neighborhood. Please end racial ignorance. Edit: I didn't say discriminate. I said to be aware that we are all different. Don't repress our cultural differences because you have an idealistic view that we are all human. We are humans, but we are also part of our societies and heritage. As a non-racist thing, African American is counterproductive to integrating into a single society. If a man is born in America, he is American.
