Open Question: Why are some people agains legalized prostitution? Dont you know it provides an essential service for some men? and more... Open Question: Why are some people agains legalized prostitution? Dont you know it provides an essential service for some men?It seems to me theres nothing "exploitative" about legalized prostitution; when its legal, the criminal element is gone, and sex slavery becomes much less of an issue. I went to a hooker in germany, (reasons listed below) and its regulated and the girls there WANT to do what they do; they could easily make a good living in a socialist first world nation like germany doing almost anything else...so why be against legal prostitution? Dont you know some men are so hideous and and have such boring personalities, hookers are their only option for sex? Why deny many men the right to have sex because of some ridiculous noion of "exploitation"? take me for example; im the perfect example of the kind of guy only a mother could love. Im fairly ugly, im not confident, im a student who is poor im 21, have never had a date or a kiss, am ridiculously shy, socially awkward, don't share many interests with girls im interested in, have never been shown interest in, not even any hints, have no confidence because i need a woman's interest to validate me, and have a poor personality. With that wonderful list of what i have to offer, its pretty obvious no normal good looking woman would want me right? And i don't want to settle for an ugly chick (im shallow too). So my only choices were to live a life waiting for some one, possibly dying a virgin, do an ugly girl, or go to a hooker, and the first two choices aren't really choices. For men like me, and for other men with physical problems or obesity, in a society of picky women, isn't there no other choice than a hooker? don't these men have a RIGHT to have sex too? I lost my virginity at a legal brothel last week; i was tired of living a lonely sexless life; it was unbearable, how ever the way i view it; given the miserable characteristics i was blessed with, i never really had any other choice...so what do you think? Shouldn't prostitution be legal every where so losers like me can have an opportunity to get sex before they die? and to eliminate the criminalelement So are you against legalized prostitution? Open Question: Navy Enlistment Process (Prior-Service and USN experts please)?This question is going to be a little bit long, but bear with me because I'm completely confused. I've been with a Navy recruiter for a few weeks now. This week on Wednesday I went down to the MEPs and completed my ASVAB (Scored a 78) and medical (passed), but had to have an immediate consultation which set me back about 2 hours from the rest of the guys I was processing with that day. By the time I got back, finished medical, and got to the liaison office, there were a lot of people waiting to speak to the classifier. I got my blueprint out of the way, and waited another 2 hours before I was informed that no jobs were left available that day, and I would have to return to the MEPs another day to get fingerprinted, contracted, and sworn in. My recruiter told me that we would come back on Monday, and if not Monday, Tuesday for sure. We returned to the office and I left. The next day, I got a call and was informed that Monday was definitely not going to happen, and neither would Tuesday. I was told that the earliest they could get me in was January 1st (WTF?!). I asked why, and was told that "the Navy is not hiring right now, but just be glad you're this far in the process." Yeah, I know the Navy is seriously overmanned, but of the guys that processed through the MEPs with me on Wednesday, two of them who I talked to had no trouble making the rate I wanted (AD), and will be shipping in February. February is awesome, compared to the *LONG* wait times most DEPpers had to endure up until now. Ship times in February doesn't really tell me that the Navy is overmanned anymore. So anyway, I wrote to my recruiter and was told that after speaking to the Chief, I would be able to come into the office on Monday and get into the DEP and complete my 72-hour indoctrination. It just seems kind of weird to me that I would be getting into DEP without a contract or ship date yet. Can anyone clarify what this means and how it will benefit me before getting a contract? My recruiter would not give me any more info until I sit down with him on Monday. He seemed to be in a hurry and hung up before I could finish asking questions. Also, will finishing my MEPs process a month later have a dramatic effect on when I'm going to ship? I really, really want to ship in February or March, and since I could have enlisted on Wednesday and would have been scheduled to ship in February, I'll be pretty bummed if I get say...May or June instead because I was 1 month late. Can anyone clarify what's going on here, and why my contract and initial swearing in have been delayed so long. Am I just being d*cked around, or what? I've had problems communicating with my recruiter before, where I was scheduled to leave for MEPs on December 7th, and then suddenly was called last Monday and told I was scheduled to go to the MEPs the next day. Wtf is going on? I like my recruiter, he's very professional and he's a nice guy, but is there something I'm not seeing here? Edit: You could be right, but the two others who got AD rate on Wednesday had lower ASVAB scores than I got. I also have some college credits, clean record, 4 years JROTC, and a desire to get the hell to basic ASAP. Open Question: How to deal with boyfriend problems like these?My boyfriend will never help me when im cooking for him, he'd rather sit around and read magazines whilst i ran around doing everything. And he will tell me he's bored. He has far too many friends who sees drinking and dating more than one girl is what life is all about. I hate this cos they obviously are bad influence and i dont like too many friends especially reckless ones. I have talked to my boyfriend about this he said he'll distance himself from them but its not happening. By the way he used to drink excessively and date many girls as his friends but he says he's change since we met. I'm not trying to change him but then i cant just keep quiet. We've been dating for over 4months now. What should i do or say. I love him but is this a good reason to leave him? Open Question: Redelivery problem?????????Yesterday I was in school so i missed a delivery and i had a note on the door, so then i went online to do the redelivery thing even thought there supposed to redeliver anyway i put it for the date of today. it's 3:07 and the mail hasn't come yet. will it still come today I've waited a week already.
